“Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget everything except what you’re going to do now and do it.”
- William Durant
Forget all of your preconceived notions about success and just dive into your own destiny, creating your own version along the way. Accept that anything – even failure – is possible, and don’t let it stop you from experiencing everything there is about life, work, and love. How can you translate your being into your work today if you’re hung up on the past?
What do you think?

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
George Santayana, The Life of Reason, Volume 1, 1905

Thanks for your comment, Jrandom! I’m all for remembering the past and we’re you’ve originated so much so, that I’ve got Remember tattooed on my wrist. Unfortunately, many people do not accept, reconcile, and learn from the past therefore doomed to repeat and endure it – much like professionals scared of getting laid off or rejection or people afraid of getting hurt in relationships, but instead enter relationships only for security.
When I work with my clients, we don’t reconcile the past (which is the work of therapists), we accept the past, use what we have available to us now and harness the energy for the future – taking into account all that we have learned – but by no means allowing failures and successes be our sole reference to creating a better future.
